The "Highest" Frequency
This post was inspired by a conversation I recently had on one of my notes where I wrote: “There’s a reason love feels infinite, it’s the one frequency the universe never collapses.”
Someone responded with “Which feelings or frequencies collapse? I’ve always thought of love as the universal glue, but people seem overly obsessed with it. There are so many other energies that are just as fascinating.”
Love gets so much attention because it’s the frequency most people recognize or equate as connection, but it’s really just one expression of coherence. (which I also have a post on).
Every emotion carries its own energetic signature… curiosity expands awareness, grief deepens resonance, joy elevates vibration, awe reorganizes the nervous system. In quantum terms, any of these can “collapse” potential into reality when held with full presence.
Love might be the glue… but awe, courage, forgiveness, and wonder are the architects.
Love is often described as the highest frequency.
But what if love is only one frequency in a much broader emotional spectrum, one that also builds, transforms, and collapses reality?
Again, when we talk about frequency, we’re really talking about states of coherence — how aligned our internal systems are with the field around us. Each emotion we feel carries its own pattern, influencing how our nervous system communicates, how our cells behave, and even how we perceive time and possibility.
In quantum language, emotions are waves. And presence (awareness) is the observer that collapses them into meaning.
The Spectrum of Emotional Frequencies
Curiosity is the frequency of expansion.
It opens neural pathways, increasing dopamine and acetylcholine — the brain’s messengers of motivation and learning.
In the quantum sense, curiosity is how the universe explores itself through us.
Grief is the frequency of resonance.
It’s heavy because it’s dense with memory — a signal that binds us to what has shaped us. But grief also clears space for new frequency to enter, like pruning the heart to bloom again.
Anger is the frequency of ignition.
It’s not “low” it’s catalytic. Properly harnessed, it transforms stagnation into movement. In physics, energy must shift states to evolve — anger is often the pressure that forces transformation.
Awe is the frequency of coherence.
Studies show that awe synchronizes heart rate variability and brain waves, dissolving the boundaries of self. It’s the nervous system’s way of aligning with something greater — humility wrapped in wonder.
Love, then, is the frequency of unification.
It’s the state where resistance dissolves, and everything moves as one system. It doesn’t demand; it integrates. In love, every wave remembers it belongs to the same ocean.
What “Collapses” Reality
When we experience a strong emotion, our perception shifts, attention narrows, sensory input heightens, and brain chemistry changes.
That act of attention collapses possibility into experience.
The feeling you give the most focus becomes the frequency your reality entrains to.
As I always write about… we are not passive observers, we are active participants. We are constantly shaping the field through emotion, thought, and awareness.
Beyond the Obsession with Love
Love is beautiful but it’s not the only sacred energy.
Awe expands it. Grief deepens it. Curiosity refines it.
Forgiveness harmonizes it.
Maybe the point isn’t to chase one “highest” frequency,
but to become fluent in the entire emotional language of existence.
Because every feeling when met consciously is a form of energy rearranging itself toward truth.

The “Highest” Frequency isn’t a lesson in physics, it’s a meditation on emotional truth. What humanises this reflection most is its reverence for the full spectrum of feeling: not as noise, but as language. The text doesn’t idolise love; it listens to curiosity, pain, awe, and anger as sacred frequencies in their own right. Each emotion becomes a wave not to be judged, but welcomed. And in that welcoming, reality reshapes itself. The idea that presence collapses possibility into experience is more than quantum metaphor; it’s a call to live with attention, to honour what moves through us. Love may unify, but awe synchronises, pain deepens, and forgiveness restores. This isn’t about chasing the highest vibration it’s about becoming fluent in the music of being alive. Because coherence isn’t perfection. It’s the grace of being fully here.

I continue to be curious about that catch-all phrase -- Love. It seems to be thrown around somewhat carelessly, on the presumption everyone must know what it means. I'm more and more convinced that the code of language is interpreted uniquely by each individual. This curiosity of mine also seeks to know what you, and others, mean when they invoke words such as love, or grief, or even joy, as if everyone must know what is being said.
